Sustainable Tourism of Important Plant Areas (IPAs)—A Case of Three Protected Areas of Vojvodina Province

In the northern part of Serbia, where Autonomous Province (AP) Vojvodina is located, a total 27 important plant areas (IPAs) have been established. Within three selected IPAs, there are different biocenoses inhabited by endemic and animal species, which form unique sensitive ecosystem. Furthermore, in these areas, wetlands for geodiversity maintenance. The studied IPAs include territory special nature reserves same name: Special Nature Reserve (SNR) Zasavica, SNR Obedska Bara, Koviljsko-Petrovaradinski Rit. protected tourist activities carried out at levels development through various forms tourism. This research used quantitative methodology to examine degree sustainable tourism its impact on residents. A 1134 respondents were surveyed using questionnaire as an instrument. obtained results indicate that can be destinations development. Ecological sociocultural dimensions sustainability contribute this type greatest extent. Analyzing data related respondents’ satisfaction, we concluded they feel certain satisfaction with all investigated areas. survey called attention possibility developing nature-based tourism, residents’ role planning should strengthened. All developed here primary goal protecting IPAs.
